Spicy Grilled Shrimp

1 Mins read

I just love seafood. What can I say? I am island girl through and through. This recipe is perfect for weeknights or lazy Sundays. It’s simple, fast, and packs a ton a flavor. You can have it as an appetizer or pair it with vegetables and/or a starch for a full meal.

Servings: 2  ·  Prep time: 15 min  ·  Cook time: 5 min  ·  Ready in: 20 min  ·  Skill level: Novice

Ingredients

  • 1lb of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon of Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon on McCormick crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of Kirkland Signaure Fine Sea Salt
  • juice of 1/2 a lime
  • Pam cooking spray

Method

1. ) Toss all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

2.) Heat a non-stick grilling pan to a medium-high heat.

3.) Spray the grilling pan liberally with cooking spray.

4.) Grill the shrimp one side at a time. It should take no more than 2 minutes for each side. Do not grill the shrimp much longer than that or you will overcook them and they will have a rubbery texture.

5.) Remove the shrimp from the grilling pan, plate, and serve.

Tip: If you prefer having a dipping sauce, try using a Thai Chili sauce for some sweet heat.
