Jerk Chicken Pizza

Pizza night is great, but it can get a little boring. Spice it up with this jerk chicken pizza. With just a few time saving items from your local grocery store, you will be enjoying a delicious slice of pizza in no time. Let’s get cooking.

Servings: 8 slices  ·  Prep time: 10 minutes  ·  Cook time: 15 minutes  ·  Ready in: 25 minutes  ·  Skill level: Novice

Ingredients

  • pizza dough (refrigerated and rolled out into a 12-inch circle)
  • 1 cup of alfredo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Walkerswood jerk seasoning
  • 1, 7oz bag of Tyson Preimum Grilled White Chicken
  • 3/4 cup of red pepper, diced
  • 3/4 cup of mango, diced
  • 1 cup of arugula
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup of shredded Parmesan
  • 3 tablespoons of Walkerswood Jerk BBQ sauce (optional)

Method

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Place the pizza dough onto a non-stick pizza pie pan. (Pro tip: Purchase refrigerated, pre-rolled pizza dough from your local grocery store. Publix sells pre-rolled dough (usually $3.79 each) in its bakery section.

Pour the alfredo sauce onto the dough. Using a large spoon, spread the alfredo sauce all over the surface of the pizza dough.

Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese onto the pizza.

On a cutting board, chop the grilled chicken into small cubes. Then, in a small bowl, mix the chicken and the jerk seasoning together.

Sprinkle the seasoned chicken cubes onto the pizza.

Sprinkle the diced pepper and mango onto the pizza. (Pro tip: You can purchase containers of diced red pepper and diced mango in the refrigerated section of your local grocery store.)

Place the pizza into the oven for 12 minutes.

After 12 minutes have passed, open the oven, slide out the oven rack that the pizza is on, and top the pizza with the arugula.

Bake the pizza for 3 additional minutes and then remove the pizza from the oven.

If you would like to add just a bit of sweet heat to your pizza, drizzle the Walkerswood Jerk BBQ sauce on top.

Slice the pizza into 8 slices, plate, and enjoy.
