Roasted Brussels sprouts in a white porcelain bowl with a Brussels sprouts stalk in the background.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

I grew up thinking that Brussels sprouts were just plain ol’ awful. The truth is, I had no real reason to think so other than hearing children complain about eating them on 90s tv shows. Truth be told, my mom didnt even cook Brussels sprouts when I was growing up and if she did, I have no doubt it would have been a hard pass from me. Looking back, I realize how absolutely insane I was to turn my nose up at this delightful vegetable. Roasted, shredded into salad, added in to stir fry–you name it, I’m with it. The only way I still refuse to eat Brussels sprouts is boiled; but who knows? Maybe I’ll get there…maybe.

In the meantime, I want to share one of my favorite ways to make Brussels sprouts with you: oven roasted. It so easy and so delicious and has become a mandatory part of my Thanksgiving menu, too. Enough talking about it. Let’s get cooking.
