So, apparently February 22nd is National Margarita Day. But let’s be honest, who needs a holiday to enjoy a good margarita? I saw the most beautiful bag of key limes at the farmer’s market and I thought, “Man, those would probably make some amazing margaritas.” And guess, what? I was right!

Ingredients
- coarse salt (for glass rim)
- 4 ounces of fresh, key lime juice
- 4 ounces of orange liqueur
- 4 ounces of tequila
- 1 ounce of simple syrup
- key lime slices (for garnish)
Method
Dampen the margaritas glass rims and then gently twist them into the salt. Set the glasses aside.
Place all of lime juice, orange liqueur, tequila, and simple syrup into a shaker and shake vigorously.
Fill the salted margarita glasses with ice and pour in the margarita.
Garnish each glass with a lime slice and enjoy. And as always, please drink responsibly.
